Pumpkin Patch Adventure

It never fails...when Keith and I do something we really want pictures of we usually forget the camera or the battery is dead. This time we actually remembered the camera and fully charged battery, however we forgot the memory card. I also forgot my phone! I guess I can blame it on my pregnancy brain, as usual. Luckily, Keith remembered his phone. The picture quality is a little poor, though.

Technically, little brother Will made it into this picture :)

Pumpkin Patch Adventure

This was our second year at Dickey Farm's Pumpkin Patch. Last year we just went for the photos with our 5 month old, Whitley. This year we actually ventured into the patch to find and cut out our favorite pumpkins. It was a beautiful day...almost 80 degrees! We had a great time, but I was pretty tired by the end. Whitley decided she didn't like the bumpy ride back in the wagon and wanted her mommy to hold her, so between her and the belly I was carrying 40+ extra pounds back to the car while Keith hauled the wagon full of pumpkins. Overall, it made for some good family time memories!

32 weeks pregnant

This was a picture of me today. I am about 32 weeks pregnant. We attempted the 4D ultrasound today...turned out we waited a bit too long because the poor little guy was so crowded in my tummy that we could not get any good pictures of his face. I guess it will be an even better surprise in 8 more weeks. My pregnancy was gone well so far besides the fact that I have all but pitched a tent in my bathroom at night!! We are getting so excited at this point.

This is a picture of the little man's crib. The "wWw" are his initials for William "Will" Weldon Westmoreland. We chose family names for him. William after my dad and Weldon after Keith's dad (middle name).

Whitley's new face

Whitley has been trying to show me who's boss in the last month. When she wants something this is her exact facial expression as she yells "Ma" with the most demanding tone....I guess I'll let it slide since she's only 16 months old.

Our little cheerleader

Whitley helped the Hogs pull out a win against Texas A & M last Saturday! Go Hogs!

Our little mechanic

This picture cracks me up. We decided to remove the floor board of Whitley's cozy coupe. We decided it wasn't such a good idea when she kept slipping out the bottom.

Kansas City

I am so behind on my posts. These were some good pics I found from our summer Kansas City trip....

Keith and Whitley in the Royals Hall of Fame. Keith showing of his all time favorite baseball player's uniform, George Brett.

I love this toothy smile!!

Whitley at the Drive In

Our new house has a good size media room that we also use as Whitley's playroom. She loves to sit in her car with her sippy cup while we watch tv.

This could be the cutest chicken I have ever seen! Whitley always laughs when she sees the mirror reflection of herself in a hooded towel.

Imposter!

I turned around to pick up something Whitley dropped on the floor and wondered to myself...Who is this imposter in my baby's car seat??? She suddenly looked so much longer and older to me!

First Family Road Trip

We finally took a family road trip! I have traveled with Whitley to visit my sister in Central Arkansas, but we have never been on the road as a family until our trip to Kansas City. We had a great time!

We introduced Whitley to major league baseball. She received a certificate for attending her very first Royals game...can't you just see the excitement on her face?!

Whitley and daddy watching the game. She is rarely seen without her thumb in her mouth these days. That is going to be one tough habit to break!

Taking a break from the sun. It was 90+ degrees that day...pretty hard on a baby and pregnant momma!

Whitley was pretty wiped out after the trip! She rarely sleeps in the car.

Favorite foods

Whitley has definitely developed some food preferences in the recent days. She could pretty much live off crackers and fruit. Her favorite foods are...
  • Blueberries (she consumes 2-3 crates a week by herself) and any other fruit
  • Raisins
  • Triscuits (although any cracker will work for her)
  • Peas
  • Larabars
  • Kashi fruit bars
  • Strawberry banana smoothies

A few new words...

Whitley has started saying some new words (other than momma and dadda):
  • Baby (her favorite)
  • Cracker AKA Cacker
  • Three...only one time, but we still count it
  • Hi, hey, and hello

Whitley is cutting more teeth!

Whitley has been walking around the house with empty sippy cups clamped between her teeth and no hands for support.

Practice with two kids

I watched Hudson for a full day. It was good practice for me trying to keep track of two kids. Putting Hudson down for a nap was a bit of a challenge at first. He was a bit fussy and kept looking at the door (waiting for Tara to come to his rescure, I'm sure). In the end, I was successful and he looked so adorable sleeping. I must say keeping Hudson for a day made me excited about having a boy.

Can I say again how much I love the alphabet train?! It made baby sitting so easy. They played and all I had to do was keep an eye on them.

The kids were good to this pregnant momma...they climbed the stairs so I didn't have to carry them.

Whitley has been obsessed with my blush brush and the dishwasher. When I needed to put on my make-up I couldn't find my blush brush and was looking everywhere. I don't know why I didn't think to look in the dishwasher :)

A few of Whitley's favorite things these days...

Whitley loves being strolled around as she reads her books. "Goodnight Moon" is her favorite.
I have it memorized.
Whitley loves to pull anything out of the cabinets. We had to lock them up so I didn't have to refold laundry.

The alphabet train, a gift from her uncle Casey, keeps her occupied for long periods of time....which is also a gift to her mommy :)

The exercauser is an oldie but goodie. When Whitley was five months old she would play in it for an hour at a time! We put her in it the other day just for fun and were surprised to see that she still enjoyed it. I highly recommend this toy to anyone with a 5 month old!!

Whitley got a new car for her birthday. If she gets out of my sight, I will often find her just chillin' out in her cozy coup with her sippy cup and one hand on the steering wheel.

Fun in the Sun!

Whitley with friends, Jackson Phelan and Reese Tovar. They were very worn out at this point. Two hours with toddlers in the pool... the moms were worn out too. We headed home for a very long nap! My very blonde baby looks bald when her hair gets wet :)

Jackson always flashes this cute little grin to the ladies :)

When Whitley and I visited her aunt Lauren and cousin Campbell in Sheridan last week, she proved to us that she would make an excellent big sister. When Campbell would get hungry and start to cry, Lauren would put him in his bouncy seat so she could prepare his bottle. Whitley would then stand next to him (as you can see above) and move his toys hanging over him as if she was trying to soothe him....that's my little sweetheart.

Happy Father's Day, Daddy!

Whitley with Keith on his second Father's Day. Whitley absolutely adores her daddy! They already have that special connection. Whitley hates when Keith leaves the house. After he closes the door, she bangs her hands on the door then sits and cries until I can quickly distract her.

This is one of my favorite early pictures of Whitley and Keith...already a daddy's girl.

Happy Father's Day, Papa Bill!

One year old! Where did the time go?!

Whitley enjoying her first taste of chocolate! At least that's what we think anyway...you know how those grandparents can be :)

Whitley with Aunt Kelly and cousin Georgia Grace
Whitley with Drew Deimel and Papa George. Drew has a little case of male stranger anxiety as you can see here...

One of my favorites...

Whitley looked so cute in her skull and cross bones onesie with matching socks....a gift from her daddy to scare off the boys!

Eleven months old

Whitley's first Easter. She loved the puffs she found in her Easter eggs!!
